Hi, I'm Ariel.
Wedding photographer in Santiago, Chile. Documentary, natural and emotional, which is the long way of saying I would rather wait for something to happen than ask you to perform it.
There was always a camera in my house
My dad took photos. He wasn't a photographer, but there was always a camera lying around, and I grew up watching that: someone deciding that an ordinary moment was worth keeping.
I came to weddings as a guest. At one wedding the photographer handed me his camera for a while, half out of politeness, and I started watching the party through it. I couldn't have explained it that day, but something clicked: at a wedding everything happens at once, and it happens only once. The nerves before walking in, the look they exchange, the hug nobody planned. If you don't take it, it's gone.
That's what I do now. I work from Santiago with a documentary eye, moving quietly so I can record what actually happens. My goal isn't for your photos to look good on Instagram this week. It's for you to open them in twenty years and feel that day all over again.
I travel throughout Chile, and if your wedding is abroad, there too.
Pretty photos are forgotten. The ones that feel real are not.
That's why I won't direct you all afternoon. Every wedding has its own rhythm, and my job is to be there with my eyes open.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
It depends on the type of wedding and the hours of coverage. I have plans for civil ceremonies and intimate weddings, and plans for the full day. Write to me with your date and I'll send you the details.
How many photos do you deliver?
Between 200 and 350 for a civil ceremony, and between 600 and 700 on the Essential plan. On the Full Story and Signature plans there is no fixed limit: I deliver everything worth keeping.
Do you take family group photos?
Yes, they're included in every plan. Being documentary doesn't mean skipping the portrait with your parents and grandparents: those photos will matter a lot. I keep them quick, with a short list agreed beforehand, so you don't miss half the party posing.
Do you work outside Santiago?
Yes. I travel across Chile and abroad. Travel is discussed separately and quoted at cost, with no hidden charges.
What is the engagement session for?
It isn't just about having more photos. It's so that on the wedding day we're no longer strangers: you get used to the camera and I learn how you two look at each other. It shows in the photos.
How do I book my date?
With a 30% deposit and a signed contract. Until then the date stays open for other couples. The balance can be paid no later than the day before the wedding, in instalments or in one go.
How are my photos protected?
I record to two cards at the same time all day, so if one fails the other has everything. Afterwards I keep a backup of your images for two years.
